Dr. Humiston’s Philosophy

What Makes Dr. Humiston Different

While trying to find a solution for his wife’s life threatening asthma Dr. Humiston’s received a recommendation to pursue treatment with Dr. William Hitt, an American scientist working in Mexico.

Dr. Humiston didn’t understand much about yeast, Candida and mold at the time, but he came to learn it was at the root of his wife’s condition. Within three weeks of treatment, Dr. Humiston witnessed his wife’s symptoms go from life threatening to just “annoying” without the use of drugs. So impressed with the remarkable results he joined Dr. Hitt’s medical center upon completing his Navy service the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton.

Since that time Dr. Humiston has been recognized internationally for his work at the William Hitt Center where he successfully treated thousands of patients with chronic conditions. Upon the passing of Dr. Hitt, Dr. Humiston accepted an invitation by Dr. Janette Gray to join the Center for Health and Wellbeing.

Healing with Alternative Medicine Therapies

Throughout medical school and residency, Dr Humiston pursued a standard allopathic education. Though, he always had the goal of using that background to find a better way to treat illness, including alternative therapies that would have the same end result without introducing artificial solutions masking disease.

Dr. Humiston treats chronic illness including asthma, allergies, chronic fatigue, attention deficit disorder, depression, anxiety, migraines and thyroid disease among others that have responded poorly to conventional medicine.

He is also San Diego’s expert on NeuroRecover ™, a new approach to drug and alcohol dependence and addiction that has proven to be the most effective method available to assist the body and brain in repairing the damage done by drugs (either illegal or prescription), alcohol, tobacco and marijuana. The NeuroRecover™ treatment includes formulas of selected amino acids delivered intravenously that assist the nervous system in repairing receptors damaged by substance use, as well as by dopamine-damaging activities (e.g. gambling and pornography addiction, overwork, electronics addiction)
