#2 Detoxification Through Digestion June 13
Learn how your diet and your gut interact to cause toxicity– and what you can do about it. We will discuss how the foods you eat, in addition to your environment and stress, are affecting the internal milieu of your gut. We will discuss the methods for testing the gut and which method would be suit your individual needs. These tests can help us determine the source of toxicity and how to eliminate toxins!
#3 Detoxification Through Liver Function July 11
Learn how the liver organizes nutrient assimilation, detoxification, and at the same time helps keep the immune system in check. We will discuss the relevance of Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III detoxification as part of the liver’s biliary detoxification function. We will also look at how the liver modifies nutrients to help provide for the body while also preventing toxicity. Finally, the immune system will be discussed in terms of its relevance to the liver and as an extension of the liver’s detox function.
#4 Digestion, Liver & Food Sensitivities AUGUST 8
Building on the last few months of seminars, we will discuss how food, digestion, and the liver participate in the accumulation of food and environmental sensitivities. This system has some unique relationships that build “allergic” responses to foods as protection against the stress of high and low blood sugar. When we loose control of blood sugar (which happens in most of us in our 20s and 30s, protective actions to reform blood sugar may cause allergic sensitivities to intensify. Learn how this works. Protect yourself from sensitive foods. And, listen for clues about how to build a natural resistance to Food Sensitivities!
